Aguathuna Quarry Development

Description: Aguathuna Quarries has submitted a proposal to develop a limestone quarry in Aguathuna, in the southwestern part of the province.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On November 4, 1999, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
