Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte - Lot Servicing for future houses

The community of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte proposed this project to clear, service and prepare lots to accommodate future houses. A lot of >1,000 m2 were proposed within the community. Physical activities include earth works related to site preparation and clearing, extension of road, water and sanitation services.

December 6, 2022 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause adverse environmental effects.

October 31, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until December 1, 2022 respecting the determination.
