Demolition of Building WP1119 at Work Point - Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which will involve the demolition of a building. Building WP1119 is a 2294 square meter building that is located in the industrial area of Work Point and was constructed in 1943. It has reached the end of its life cycle and is scheduled to be demolished. Adjacent asphalt parking areas will be used for staging and laydown.

August 29, 2022 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
