Wharf Extensions, Pool's Cove, NL

DFO, Small Craft Harbour is proposing to extend the existing wharf in Pool's Cove. This existing finger pier in Pool's Cove has a reinforced concrete deck supported by treated timber piles. The wharf is approximately 8.5m wide and stands at a deck elevation of 3.30m LNT. DFO-SCH intends to extend this wharf by approximately 18.3 m long. The new concrete reinforced deck would again be supported by treated timber piles with bracing and concrete pile caps.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada- Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH) intends to make a determination regarding whether carrying out the proposed project, located at the Pool’s Cove wharf is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, DFO-SCH is inviting public comments in respect to that determination for 30 days following the posting of this notice.
