Roof Replacement - Mewata Armoury

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which aims to replace the existing asphalt shingle roofing with a formed metal roof panel system at the Mewata Armoury. The Mewata Armoury is recognized as a Historic Site by both the Federal and Provincial governments. The building will be occupied for the duration of the project during noted normal working hours.

April 30, 2022 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
