St. Anthony - Floating Dock Storage

DFO, Real Property Safety Security (RPSS) intends to construct a floating dock storage area at the Search and Rescue (SAR) station located in St. Anthony, NL. The proposed project will include the removal of existing armour and filter stone from slope to be extended and reinstates on a new slope. The area will be levelled with rock and gravel. Stone required for the project will be obtained from an approved quarry and trucked to the site. Heavy equipment consisting primarily of excavators and dump trucks will be utilized to complete the project.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada- Real Property Safety and Security (DFO-RPSS) intends to make a determination regarding whether carrying out the proposed project, located at the St. Anthony Search and Rescue (SAR) station is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, DFO-RPSS is inviting public comments in respect to that determination for 30 days following the posting of this notice.
