Wharf Reconstruction at Feltzen South Small Craft Harbour, Lunenburg County, NS

The Small Craft Harbours Branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada proposes to undertake the reconstruction of the ell section of the existing breakwater wharf located at Feltzen South Small Craft Harbour (SCH),  Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.  Work will be conducted with the use of heavy equipment such as haul trucks and excavators to complete the removal of the old section of the wharf and construct the new section.

The proposed project involves removal of the existing wharf section, excavation of material to provide a base for construction of new cribs, and new concrete decking and ramp. A portion of the existing breakwater located along the north side of the wharf will be removed in order to facilitate the work and will be reinstated once construction of the new section of wharf is complete. The new wharf will have approximately the same dimensions as the current wharf.
