Vegetation Removal - 8 Wing Trenton

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which will consist of vegetation and tree removal along Meyers Creek, which runs parallel to South Perimeter Road (just East of the East commercial gate). Also included is an area of vegetation to be cleared just south of Taxiway Papa. This area is along the existing drainage ditch that runs east-west on the southeast side of the airfield. Vegetation along the adjacent fence line from South Perimeter Rd to where the drainage feature leaves the property boundary will also be removed. Project is to commence winter of 2021.

Latest update

January  6, 2021— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
