Wharf Reconstruction, Winterton, Newfoundland

DFO, Small Craft Harbour intends to complete a wharf reconstruction project in Winterton, Newfoundland. The scope of work for this project includes the removal of a finger pier wharf consisting of ballasted timber cribs with a concrete deck and replacing with a new treated timber crib finger pier measuring approximately 130 metres by 6.1 metres. The new wharf includes an outer dogleg portion that will provide added protection. The interior of the basin will be dredged to -2.0 metres. Additionally, a crib will be added to the toe of the launchway as the existing launchway does not provide safe launching due to low water depths at the toe.
