Small Boat Basin Construction, Cartwright, Newfoundland Labrador

DFO, Small Craft Harbour intends to construct a small boat basin complete with gravel topped boat storage area, protected by armour stone, as well as a concrete topped timber crib launchway, headblocks and floating docks. The project will also include basin dredging to provide adequate draft for smaller vessels.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada- Small Craft Harbours (DFO-SCH) intends to make a determination regarding whether carrying out the construction of a small boat basin, located at the Cartwright Small Craft Harbour is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, DFO-SCH is inviting public comments in respect to that determination for 30 days following the posting of this notice.
