Keogh River Bridge Replacement

Transport Canada is looking to replace the bridge over the Keogh River, located at the Port Hardy Airport.  It is expected that the bridge will be clearspan in design, removing all of the current in-water bridge support and returning the river back to it's original width.

February 1, 2021 – Transport Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting public comments until April 30, 2021 respecting that determination..
