Water Supply Upgrade - Neptune

The Proposed Project

In order to increase water capacity associated with terminal expansion, Neptune Bulk Terminals (NBT) is proposing to install a new water supply pipe and water meter chamber for their facility located at 1001 Low Level Road In North Vancouver, BC. The approximately 280 metre long water main along with the water meter chamber would be located underground and require an approximate volume of 330 cubic metres of soil excavation. The proposed water supply pipe would connect with neighbouring Cargill's existing water main underneath the Cargill/NBT access bridge overpass and extend towards the south west, running parallel to the overpass within Cargill's existing lease area and then cut south underneath the access road, tying into NBT's existing water supply pipe system.  It is anticipated that some of the work would be completed outside of regular port authority working hours to reduce the impact of construction to the community as well as existing Cargill/NBT operations. The project is expected to take approximately 8 months to complete.
