Construction of the Former Welland Canal Crossing

The proposed project is the construction of the Former Welland Canal Crossing – Approximately 124m long and includes abutments.

The purpose of the project is to address public health and safety concerns, improve traffic flow for motorist and pedestrians, improve emergency response, and reduce the probability of asset failure and service interruptions.

The project will generate and improved and/or more reliable bridge asset.
