Pre-Fabricated Office Installation

Two locations in Rouge National Urban Park will be repurposed to serve as office headquarters for park staff. Each location, will have less 1 acre repurposed to include staff parking, driveway and footing to receive the pre-fabricated office. The first location, 363 Old Finch, is in the Toronto region of Rouge National Urban Park, repurposing the foundation of a vacant house. The second location, 9182 York Durham Line, is in the Markham region of Rouge National Urban Park, adjacent to the Warden Office and repurposing a fallow farm field. The works to prepare the site will begin in February 2021 with completion of receiving the offices by the end of the calendar year.

February 14, 2021 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Parks Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
