OKIB is planning to develop part of Lot 13-1 (Phase 2), along with the two adjacent lots (Phase 1), into the OKIB Business Park. The proposed development involves the construction of a staff parking lot and modular home storage area on the northeast side of the lot, and business park lots and greenspaces on the northwest side, with accompanying road infrastructure. The remainder of the southern portion of the lot will be developed at a later date.

November 19, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed OKIB Business Park: Phase 2 project, located in Kelowna, British Columbia is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.
