Stormwater outfall and dike upgrades

The proposed project

The City of Maple Ridge (the City) is proposing to upgrade the stormwater infrastructure around Princess Street. As part of these upgrades, the City will upgrade the Princess Street Pump Station and the associated discharge infrastructure. The Proponent is proposing to clear approximately 150 square meters of riparian habitat using an excavator. A sheet-pile coffer dam will be installed and, if required, a Qualified Environmental Professional will complete a fish salvage. An excavator will be used to remove the damaged pipe, and a new concrete pipe will be installed. Rip-rap will then be installed along the foreshore. Disturbed areas will be restored with plantings of grass and native shrubs.
