The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC; the Agency) has correctly identified TTN as an Indigenous Nation requiring consultation on the Project.   • Bonjour, J’aimerais porter un commentaire vis-à-vis le plan de participation du public.  Je suis citoyen de la communauté, résident du chemin du lac Hélène et membre de l’exécutif de la COC Wasamac.  Le projet Wasamac est un projet d’envergure et puisque celui-ci sera présent dans notre voisinage pour un temps important, il est important de jeter les bases d’une bonne communication avec le voisinage.  Comme prescrit par la loi québécoise, les promoteurs actuels du projet doivent former un comité citoyen.  La structure actuelle du projet prévoit donc un groupe de travail visant à discuter des différents enjeux.  Ce regroupement, majoritairement composer de citoyens inclus tout de même plusieurs autres groupes, pour la plupart, déjà structurer et fonctionnant avec une ...

  • Le développement du projet de mine souterraine Wasamac se situe dans un milieu rural habité. Plusieurs perturbations sont appréhendées par les « voisins ». On y dénombre plus d'une centaine de résidences.  L'approvisionnement en eau potable, qui dépend des puits individuels, sera extrêmement vulnérable compte tenu que le dynamitage se situe directement sous les propriétés ou à proximité. Est-ce que le promoteur s'engage à identifier clairement aux citoyens de quelle façon il compte rétablir un approvisionnement si (ou lorsque) la qualité ou la quantité de l'eau sera affectée?   • J'habite sur la rue Lafontaine et je vois ce projet très positivement. La compagnie qui souhaite en faire une mine est sérieuse et très respectable. Pour le développement économique de Rouyn-Noranda ce n'est que positif. J'approuve et souhaite grandement voir ce projet devenir réalité

  • Avec les mauvaises expériences des multiples forages qui ont été fait sur ma propriété, ainsi que des réparations promises, et exécutées, je me dois de mentionner que la dispartition d'une forêt d'arbres matures, remplacée par des pousses n'atteignant pas 12'' de haut, risque de prendre plus de temps qu'il m'en reste pour voir une remise à l'état original. De plus, comme un des gisements est directement sous ma maison, Je fais partie des gens qui affichent une certaine crainte de dommages possibles aux bâtiments ainsi que d'une perte d'eau du puits. Ce dernier ne se remplace pas facilement, et encore moins désirable si substitué par une citerne.

  • Bonjour, Nous sommes voisins immédiats du projet minier Wasamac. Nous sommes très conscients d'habiter dans une région minière, cependant comme ce projet se développera sous notre maison mais aussi sur un terrain immédiatement en face de notre domicile, nous sommes très inquiets quant à la qualité et la quantité de notre eau potable puisque nous possédons un puits artésien et que le Railveyor est prévu passer sous terre et par le fait même peut etre altérer notre accès a une eau potable et suffisante. Les travaux de préparation et d'exploitation pourraient très certainement causer des bris de la fondation de notre maison ou de la base de notre garage. La poussière, le bruit, la luminosité viendront certainement nuire à notre quiétude,  notre qualité de vie et certainement réduire ...

  • En tant que voisin très immédiat du site, des inquiétudes tant qu'à la valeur de notre résidence, la qualité et la quantité de notre eau, la pollution visuelle et sonore, la poussière le trafic ferroviaire et automobile. La faune et la flore qui seront perturbées ne sont que quelques exemples de nos craintes tant qu'à l'exploitation de ce site. Nous sommes très craintifs que notre opinion soit vraiment pris en compte. Oui le bon voisinage est essentiel mais pas au détriment de notre quiétude actuelle.
