Saint John Airport Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades
The project consists of upgrading an aging wastewater treatment facility. The upgrades will include switching the facility from a chlorination disinfection system to a UV disinfection system, and will allow the new facility to process 170 cubic meters of wastewater per day, up from 105. More specifically, the project scope includes: - wastewater lift station, - 2 pump stations, and - 1 wastewater treatment plant The project will benefit the public by ensuring that wastewater effluent standards can reliably be met. Moreover, the project will accommodate future growth of the Saint John Airport, which is a vital piece of infrastructure serving travelers, locals, and businesses in southern New Brunswick.
