Installation of Annex 4 Vacuum System

As part of an overall upgrade to Cascadia terminal's dust collection systems, Viterra proposes to install a new vacuum system on the southeast corner of the Annex 1 roof to serve Annex 1, Annex 4 and the link between the two annexes. The new vacuum system is comprised of a primary separator, a secondary filter and a screw conveyer. The system recovers particles from the buildings, directs it through the primary separator to recover grain that is then dropped into an existing storage bin below for processing and return to the product inventory. The secondary filter captures finer particles for discharge into a new screw conveyer that will feed into the existing dust transportation system. To support the new vacuum system, the project also includes instalment of structural steel reinforcement in the rooftop and concrete penetrations through the roof shell.
