Dredging to Deepen Berth 1 - Project Permit No. 18-027-1 - Amendment (Condition 23 - Extended Hours)

Neptune Bulk Terminals proposes to carry out physical activities related to the installation of a sheet pile wall and the dredging to deepen Berth 1 at Neptune Bulk Terminals up until October 31, 2020. This would require an extension to the approved Dredging to Deepen Berth 1 project permit (PP No. 18-027), which has an expiry date of February 29, 2020.

Neptune Bulk Terminals also proposes to carry out physical works associated with the approved Dredging to Deepen Berth 1 Project 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding statutory holidays to August 31, 2020. No construction and physical activities shall take place on Sundays or holidays. These hours shall not be modified without prior approval of VFPA. To request permission to conduct activities outside of these hours, the Permit Holder must submit a written request no less than 20 business days prior to the desired start date.

The condition amendment is being requested further to an earlier approval in August 2019, which allowed physical works to be carried out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding statutory holidays from August 7, 2019 to February 29, 2020.
