Fort McKay First Nation K-9 School

Fort McKay First Nation is proposing to construct a new 5, 694m2, 300-student capacity, K-9 school. The site will include 2 baseball diamonds, full-size running track with a soccer field in the center, and a 390m2 bus maintenance building. The site is approximately 8.2 ha or 20 acres in size.

January 3, 2020 - The public period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
