Prairie Lights Power Project

Prairie Lights Power GP Inc. is proposing the construction, operation and decommissioning of a 360-megawatt natural gas-fired power generation facility that would deliver electricity to Alberta. The proposed Prairie Lights Power Project would be located 35 kilometres south of Grande Prairie, within the Municipal District of Greenview, Alberta.

January 16, 2020 — The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada suspended the timeline for the Impact Assessment at the request of the proponent on December 20, 2019.

January 7, 2020 - The participant funding application period is closed. The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada is reviewing the applications to determine funding allocations.
