Michel Coal Project

North Coal Limited (formerly CanAus Coal Pty Ltd.), a wholly owned subsidiary of North Coal Pty Ltd., proposes to construct, operate, decommission and abandon a metallurgical coal mine located approximately 15 kilometres southeast of Sparwood, British Columbia, in the Elk Valley. As proposed, the Michel Coal Project would include two open-pits and produce between 2.3 and 4 million tonnes of raw coal per year, over a mine-life of up to 30 years.

Please note that the project was formerly known as the Michel Creek Coking Coal Project.
