The Coal Mountain Phase 2 Project, an open-pit coal mine, would be located in southeastern British Columbia, approximately 15 kilometers south of Sparwood, and 20 kilometers northwest of the proponent's current operations. The proposed project would include an approximate disturbance area of 1 000 hectares, and would produce approximately 2.25 million metric tonnes of clean coal per year over an estimated mine life of 34 years.
