Milton Logistics Hub Project — Panel Orientation Session

February 16, 2017 — The Review Panel for the proposed Milton Logistics Hub Project will be holding a panel orientation session on March 1 and 2, 2017 in Milton, Ontario.

The Panel has invited representatives of the federal, provincial and municipal governments to present their respective mandates and areas of expertise in relation to the project and its potential environmental effects. The proponent will be presenting on its regulatory role with respect to CN Police. The Panel will question presenters regarding the role of their organizations in the joint review process. There will be no presentations about the proposed project and its potential effects at the orientation session.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the session in person. Although there will be no opportunity for the public to ask questions during the session, questions for the Panel's consideration may be sent by email to MiltonHubPanel@ceaa.gc.ca.

The panel orientation session will be webcast live. A link to the webcast is provided in the table below. Following the session, transcripts of the proceedings will be posted on the online public registry, reference number 80100.

The Proposed Project

The Canadian National Railway Company is proposing the construction and operation of a logistics hub, designed to transfer containers between trucks and railcars. The project would be located in Milton, Ontario on 400-acres of CN-owned land, and would include a railway yard with more than 20 km of track.
